Montaplan too has a charm of its own, but here the technical part of golf prevails over the aesthetical aspect. Although it is only 5327 metres far from the yellow starts, each of its holes requires the greatest focus. The most striking illustration of this is the sequence of holes 15, 16 and 17. Those three very short par 4s, with 269 m, 319 m, and 306 m respectively, are however graded n° 7, 11 and 5!.

HOLE N°3

Par 5 in the woods, mainly on hit start and upon hitting the green. It is preferable to position oneself in 2 before the bunkers located at 80 metres far from the green, because the slope will drive the balls straight to them, or to the woods.

HOLE N°4

Par 3 surrounded entirely with trees. Be careful of the steep downslope on the right-hand side of the green that will send the balls down, you had rather lean on the left centre of this double-tiered green.

HOLE N°5

Short par 4 in slight dogleg right. The major risk here lies in hit start where some trees come interfering on the right and bunkers hang around the ball-drop on the left. Once got across this, you may just need a little iron shot to tackle a large, elevated green protected by a bunker on the right: nice chance for a birdie!

HOLE N°6

This straight par 5 offers long hitters a nice chance of birdie. The only tricky part is a sloping green, well protected by a bunker on both right and left sides.

HOLE N°8

This long par 5 which green is encircled with bunker is made even more problematic by the giant tree that stands in the middle of the fairway, at 100 metres far from the green. Decision as to which side to go through will have to be made at the second shot.

HOLE N°11

This former par 5, now a long par 4, is bordered by a waterbody that will accompany you from the hit start ball-drop to the green. To be added to the bunker on the left on the fairway and to the green’s bunker on the right, this hole requires precision and distance.

HOLE N°14

A Short par 3 that presents a nice opportunity for a birdie! The green is vast, and the front bunker is not stuck to the green, which leaves space to place the ball. The only difficult aspect is the slope of the green that sends the balls down on the right.

HOLE N°15

A short par 4 that can get further complicated by the presence of trees on both left and right sides of the fairway and can disrupt hitting the green. The latter is elevated, which prevents from seeing its surface area and makes the shot more complex. However, with a hit start on the fairway you will still get the opportunity for a birdie.
